GLOBAL MISSION Initiatives (GMI) exists to resource Kingdom Movements from everywhere to everywhere, multiplying disciples, leaders and churches until there’s No Place Left
Peter J Farmer – Founder
Peter has been pioneering new churches and teams across the UK and Europe for over 10 years. His passion to see Church Planting Movements multiplying amongst the harvest led to the birthing of ‘Mission Britain’ – A vision from God to see movements of new churches multiplying across the 12 Regions of the UK and Ireland.
Ben Taylor – Pioneer Mission Team Leader
Ben leads the Pioneer Mission church planting teams at our regular MissionXP’s and along with his wife Catherine are based in Somerset with their 4 children. He is passionate about seeing disciples, churches and leaders multiplying amongst people considered ‘unreached’ or ‘far from Jesus’.
Ben has travelled to a number of countries globally and worked with churches and ministries at home and abroad. He travels regularly to train and catalyse Church Planting Movements across the UK and to raise up an army of Pioneers.
Lois Thompson – GMI Fundraiser
Lois became a follower of Jesus aged 26 and worked as a volunteer teacher in India. After undertaking a degree in Visual Impairment and spending 6 months at the Vineyard School of ministry in the USA she returned to special needs education in the UK. After 12 years of working with visually impaired students in Nottingham, Lois joined Mercy Ships for 2.5 years as a Health Educator in West African countries. Lois is fundraiser for GMi and works with the Nottingham Pioneer Mission team.
Dorothy Houghton – GMI Administrator
Dorothy became a Christian aged 35. Married to Mike, they have two children and one grandson. Dorothy is a retired French and ESOL teacher. Her first book “Your daughter’s not in heaven” was published in 1996. In late 2017 Dorothy felt called to step down from her role as Alpha Course co-ordinator for a joint three-church venture in her village because another door was going to be opened for her. In January 2018 she joined GMi and has now taken on the above role.
